TERMEH AND HANBOK

A Short Screenplay by Azy Yaghoubi

FADE IN:

EXT. DAY – SEOUL AIRPORT

Passengers move through the busy airport. An announcement echoes through the loudspeaker:

"Qatar Airways Flight No. 65798 from Tehran has landed."

We see a conveyor belt and a monitor showing a connecting flight: Tehran → Doha → Seoul.

A man stands beside the belt. After a few moments, he picks up a brown suitcase. (Only his legs are visible.)

He begins walking toward the airport exit.

A Korean girl (HANIEL) pushes through the crowd toward the glass barrier, looking for someone.

The man (ABTIN) comes down the stairs and spots her. Haniel beams and waves excitedly. Abtin smiles, waves back, and walks out of the terminal.

INT. DAY – HANIEL'S CAR

Haniel and Abtin sit inside her Hyundai Elantra, driving through the streets of Seoul.

HANIEL: Oppa, I'm so happy you came! Honestly, I didn't think you'd really come.
ABTIN: Why not? Did you think I'd break my promise?
HANIEL (flustered): No, no! That's not what I meant!
